Jaipur City is in India and it is the capital and largest city of Rajasthan state. It is called as Pink city of India because of its dominant color scheme of buildings.  Jaipur is the most beautiful city in Rajasthan with ancient regalia and beautiful culture. In 1727 the Royal family has ruled the region and Rajput ruler Jai Singh II was founded the Jaipur in that time. The total population in Rajasthan is 3.1 million and the total area is 484.6km x km. Jaipur is situated 268 kilometers away from the national capital New Delhi. Jaipur is very famous for its Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Jaipur, IndiaAmer Fort, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Chokhi Dhani, Teej festival, shopping markets Banu Bazaar, etc. There are numerous stories also involved with Jaipur since those days. Due to the most beautiful visiting places, it is exciting and worth full to visit Jaipur.  The official currency in Jaipur is the Indian rupee and the famous sport is Cricket.

Since Jaipur is the most popular tourist destination in India, it forms a part of the west Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra. Also, it acts as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan namely Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, and Mount Abu. UNESCO has listed Jaipur as a world heritage site on the 6th of July 2019.

Jaipur is the safest city even for women traveling alone on the streets. But groping of females does sometimes occur as if they dress conservatively. For foreigners also it is not too dangerous. Pickpockets and violent crimes are very rarely occurring but sometimes petty crimes like theft and armed robbery occurred. There are some famous foods in Jaipur and some of them are Laal Maans, Lassi at Lassiwala, Pyaz Kachori at Rawat, Chicken Lollipop, Hibiscus Ice tea at Tapri, etc.

The official language in Jaipur is the Dhundari language and Dhundhari is known as Jaipuri. This is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Dhundhari region. In apart from that Dhundhari language is using by the other four districts such as Sawai, Madhopur, Dausa, and Tonk. Overall 30% of the population in Jaipur live below the international poverty line of 1.25USD per day and it is a struggle to live in Jaipur for so many people. But Jaipur is known as the world’s largest exporter of Gold and Diamonds. Within the 50 emerging global outsourcing cities, Jaipur was ranked number 31 recently.

There are some nearest cities to Jaipur namely Agra, Alwar, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Mathura, etc. Jaipur has an International airport called Jaipur International Airport and it is the 11th busiest airport in India and has daily flights. There are major airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Oman Air, Etihad Airways, etc. flights are arriving at Jaipur International Airport.

Weather in Jaipur

Since Jaipur has a monsoon-influenced hot semiarid climate, it has a bearable temperature throughout the year. The temperature varies between 22C to 33C and has some cool evenings with temperatures dropping around 5C. Jaipur has short hot summers and mild to warm winters. There are some dust storms close to the desert that can be seen in Jaipur. It has monsoon in July and August and frequent heavy rains and thunderstorms can be seen in the monsoon period. But flooding is not common. In December Jaipur is having cold weather and the temperature varies between 10C to 27C. It has the winter months between October to March where the temperature varies between 5C to 22C.  Therefore, the best season to visit Jaipur is from early November to February.

Tourism in Jaipur

Jaipur is a major tourist destination because of its Golden Triangle tour. In 2008 Jaipur has ranked the 7th best place to visit in Asia by Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Survey. Rajasthan’s biggest convention and exhibition center are located in Jaipur and it is Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre ( JECC). This convention center held some famous events such as Vistara, Jaipur jewelry show, Stone mart 2015, and Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015. There is another reason where Jaipur’s tourism is high because of its visitor attraction places. Some of them are Jaipur, IndiaAlbert Hall Museums, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Birla Mandir, Jaipur Zoo, Sanghiji Jain temple, and world heritage sites of Jantar Mantar observatory and Amer Fort.

Economy in Jaipur

Economically wise Jaipur is rolling as the Provincial capital, educational, administrative center, gemstone cutting, the manufacture of jewelry and luxury textiles, and information technology. In addition to this, tourism has fueled Jaipur’s economy mostly. Within the 50 Emerging Global Outsourcing cities, Jaipur was ranked as the 31st city. The major three trade promotion organization office is located in Jaipur namely the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry ( FICCI), the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( PHDCCI), and the Confederation of Indian Industry ( CII). Jaipur acts as a major hub for its arts and crafts and there are many traditional shops that can be seen where selling antiques, jewelry, handicrafts, gems, bangles, Jaipur, Indiapottery, carpets, textiles, leather, and metal products. Jaipur is India’s largest manufacturer of hand-knotted rugs. Also, Jaipur’s leg a rubber-based prosthetic leg was produced in Jaipur for people with below-knee amputations.
